Topocoro Cajasan tourism project
Cajasan (Caja Santandereana de Subsidio Familiar) announced in October 2024 a 31-hectare regenerative tourism project at km 5 of the La Lisboa–San Vicente de Chucurí road, vereda La Parroquia, in Girón, about 45 minutes from Bucaramanga. According to Vanguardia (in Spanish), it will be built in phases and open to the public gradually.
- Planned lodging: 10 glamping units, 12 cabins and a 100-room hotel.
- Planned activities: hiking, birdwatching, a water zip line, pools, climbing walls and sports courts.
- A convention centre and a plaza for local businesses and restaurants.
- Raised stilt-style buildings, solar power and rainwater harvesting.
Pairing it with the reservoir
